If you have a question about this talk, please contact Nick Barlow. The Dalitz-plot analysis technique is used to study the intermediate structure of the decay Bs → D0bar K- pi+. The ability of this approach to distinguish the spin of intermediate resonances allows the previously observed state DsJstar(2860) to be resolved into two contributions: Ds1star(2860) and Ds3star(2860). This is the first time that a spin-3 heavy flavour particle has been observed and the first observation of a B meson decaying to a spin-3 particle. I will give an introduction to Ds meson spectroscopy, the physics of the family of B(s) → Dhh decays and the Dalitz-plot analysis technique, before discussing in detail the recent results of the Bs → D0bar K- pi+ analysis and their implications.
