Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, are devastating and cause an enormous socio-economical impact. The development of effective drugs to cure such diseases is one of the biggest scientific challenges of the 21st century. During my presentation, I will outline the novel strategies for drug design and innovation used during my PhD, which include the combination of fluorescent worm models with camelid antibody fragment technology and chemical compounds.
