Precision phenomenology at the LHC requires a precise and faithful determination of parton distribution functions (PDFs) and of their uncertainties. In this seminar, I describe the main features and advantages of the NNPDF approach to the determination of PDFs and I present the most recent NNPDF analysis. Predictions obtained with several PDF sets are compared to each others and the impact of the LHC data on the precise knowledge of the parton distributions is discussed.
