Low-Energy Excess Results from MicroBooNEAdd to your list(s) Download to your calendar using vCal
If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Steve Dennis. A number of interesting anomalies have been hinted at by neutrino experiments. One of the most compelling has been the LSND -MiniBooNE Low Energy Excess (LEE) of electron-like events in a muon neutrino beam. The MicroBooNE experiment is a liquid argon time-projection chamber experiment with a strong ability to understand this excess. MicroBooNE has been collecting physics data since 2015, and is now a real-world case study of the powerful potential of LArTPC technology. In this talk, I will discuss the results of the MicroBooNE data analysis focused on the low-energy electron-like excess search, using both electron-like and photon hypotheses, as well as fitting these to a 3+1 sterile neutrino model. This talk is part of the Cavendish HEP Seminars series. This talk is included in these lists:
