If you have a question about this talk, please contact Lisa Masters. Future renewable energy scenarios often rely on the extensive utilization of CO2 as a sustainable carbon-based feedstock. The conversion of CO2 to chemicals and fuels can proceed either via electro- or thermo-catalytic routes. Here, extensive quantum chemical calculations will be employed to shed light on both, the thermal and electro-catalytic reaction mechanisms employing heterogeneous catalysts.
