Prejudice is Affect: Divorcing Prejudice from Propositional Representations?

The key component of intergroup prejudice is affect — they are the dog that wags the stereotypic tail. I will show how a prejudice can create stereotypes, and how specific conceptual information drops away from prejudice representations, leaving affect as the core of prejudice.
