Sensor CDT Industry Lecture: Daniel Craig from AstraZeneca

Title: Learnings from Biopharmaceutical Technology Transfer

Bio: Dr Daniel Craig as Senior Scientist leading the Process Development group in the Flu-BPD department of the Biopharmaceutical Development division of AstraZeneca. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leicester for studies into the structure and mechanism of redox enzymes and a Bachelors of Science (Honours) from the University of Edinburgh. After working as a post-doc for Professor Steve Chapman at the University of Edinburgh he spent twelve years at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies near Middlesbrough, two years at Biogen’s Hillerød site and two years at Ipsen Biopharm’s Wrexham site before joining AstraZeneca. His roles at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Biogen and Ipsen Biopharm were focused on the technology transfer, development and scale-up of therapeutic proteins from E. coli, yeast and cell culture.
