Dr Isabella Miele is a Senior Engineer at Cambridge Consultants working in the Electronics Group of the Medical Technology Division. A Sensor CDT alumna, Isabella holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge for her work on acoustic sensing using functionalised microbubbles, a MRes in Sensor Technology from the University of Cambridge, a MSc and a BSc in Medical Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Her interests range from microbubbles and ultrasound to sensors in healthcare and biomedical applications, down to electronics sensor front-end design in medical devices. At Cambridge Consultants she is part of a global team of engineers, working on and leading pioneering medical device development projects in a range of fields including connected medical equipment, diagnostic devices, implantable and wearable devices.
