Dual readout calorimeters for future e+e- collidersAdd to your list(s) Download to your calendar using vCal
If you have a question about this talk, please contact William Fawcett. Precision Higgs boson measurements at future e+e- colliders call for excellent hadronic resolution to be able to resolve different Higgs boson decay channels. Dual readout calorimetry exploits Cherenkov light emitted by electrons in hadronic showers to mitigate event-by-event energy measurement fluctuations. The result is a concept for a calorimeter that provides excellent native resolution to both EM and hadronic energy deposits. In this seminar I will review the main principles behind this technology, and conclude with the pathway to move from the R&D phase to prototyping and construction.
