In this talk I will illustrate how the major issues needed to resolve the hydrodynamic limit problem that was proposed by David Hilbert in his famous 1900 ICM address are analogous to passage from the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation to the inviscid Burgers scalar conservation law. The key tool is the exact summation of the Chapman-Enskog expansion provided in the work of Alexander Gorban and Ilya Karlin.
