If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Steve Dennis. I will discuss the current status of exotic spectroscopy (bound states that do not fit the simple meson-baryon picture), with a focus on candidates including charm quarks, starting with the every growing list of observed states. I will then talk in more detail about a few recent measurements from the LHCb collaboration before sharing a few thoughts of my own about possible future directions for the field to best understand the nature of these various puzzling states.
