If you have a question about this talk, please contact jo de bono. Object detection is one of the most studied and landmark problems in Computer Vision. With the rise of learning-based approaches, the community has identified many unique imbalance problems pertinent to object detection. In this talk, I will first provide a taxonomy of the approaches and a general picture of open issues for addressing imbalance in object detection. Then, I will present our recent proposals mitigating such imbalance problems in object detection. You can watch the video from the talk at: https://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/seminars/wednesday/video/ This talk is part of the Wednesday Seminars - Department of Computer Science and Technology series.
