If you have a question about this talk, please contact Richard Webb. I will discuss recent joint works with K. Fujiwara and with C. Sert around the notion of joint spectral radius, first introduced by Rota and Strang in the 60’s. I will present geometric analogues of this notion in hyperbolic spaces and non-positively curved spaces, as well as its multidimensional analogues in the Weyl chamber of semisimple Lie groups.
