A clinical psychologist understands the personality, cognition, emotion and behavior of the clients, and evaluates the clinical issues through the process of psychological assessment. Whilst, psychotherapy is a therapeutic process between the clinical psychologist and client which aims to intervene the clinical issues and promote psychological well-being of the clients. This talk will introduce the basic types of psychological assessment and psychotherapy based on clinical cases, and discusses how they could interact to benefit clients through the implementation of therapeutic assessment.
