Last talk of term!
Think about the last time you took medication to treat a trivial problem. Perhaps you took some paracetamol to ease a headache caused by studying for an exam? Or maybe Benadryl to treat the symptoms caused by hayfever? We consume drugs more frequently than we think, but rarely think about how they were developed. What are drugs, and how were they made in the past? How are they being developed by pharmaceutical companies and research groups today? This talk will explore the past, present, and future of drug discovery.
