The process of Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CEvNS) predicted 43 years ago eluded detection for a long time despite having the largest of all Standard Model low energy neutrino interaction cross sections. This talk will cover past and on-going efforts in the field of experimental CEvNS searches focusing on the first 6.7 sigma observation recently published by the COHERENT collaboration.
