With a PhD in computational biology, Dr Huppert is one of the few MPs to have made the switch from science to politics. He campaigned on a wide range of issues during his time in office, especially for evidence-based policy with regards to drugs regulations and greater science literacy throughout parliament. He will be speaking about his experience of how science interacts with policy-making in the corridors of Westminster.
