I will report on the on-going computation the soft anomalous dimension in multi-leg gauge-theory scattering amplitudes at the three-loops order. I will also discuss the non-Abelian exponentiation theorem and its recent generalisation to multiple Wilson lines, and illustrate how diagrammatic exponentiation becomes useful in the course evaluating the soft anomalous dimension and understanding its analytic structure.
