Ramsey has joined the Computer Laboratory following a 5 year stint in the Defence Industry to continue his work on infrastructure-free indoor positioning and on navigation using signals of opportunity (NAVSOP). This talk will cover this research and some of the modern military developments in navigation and positioning without GPS that Ramsey has been involved in. The talk will cover submarines, cars, unmanned planes and even trains, so there should be something for everyone…!
