If you have a question about this talk, please contact Stephen Walley. This talk has been canceled/deleted Over the last few years, significant research has been conducted in the fracture group regarding the properties of reactive metal powders. This research has encompassed both the reactivity of these materials and their non-reactive mechanical response. Materials have been investigated across a wide range of strain rates from quasi static compression in an Instron to plate impact and explosive loading. The talk will also briefly examine future directions and challenges in the field. This talk is part of the Physics and Chemistry of Solids Group series.
