Dr Sadaf Farooqi, a Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Fellow at Addenbrookes Hospital will look at the genetic factors which cause human obesity and the dramatic response that patients can experience following leptin therapy, including the critical role this hormone plays in the regulation of human food intake.
