Webassembly for total beginners (like me)Add to your list(s) Download to your calendar using vCal
If you have a question about this talk, please contact Chris Richardson. What is WebAssembly? And why do I want to use it? Writing code which runs in a web-browser usually means learning a load of JavaScript, which seems totally alien to those of us from Scientific Computing backgrounds. But, help is at hand from “emscripten” which allows you to compile C or C++ to WebAssembly, which will run in most modern browsers. I will describe some of my adventures into this unfamiliar world, and illustrate, as usual, with exciting live demos. This talk is part of the RSE Seminars series.
