An exclusive talk with Jean-Claude Biver, President of the Watches Division at LVMH Group, CEO of TAG Heuer, and Chairman of the Board at Hublot. Jean-Claude Biver has made a significant impact on the luxury Swiss watchmaking industry having influenced and invigorated a number of well-known brands including Omega, Hublot and Tag Heuer. As a leader, he has improved the fortunes of companies through a combination of business and product innovation. For example, small business Hublot Geneva increased its turnover from 25 million to more than 200 million Swiss francs over the four years of Jean-Claude’s leadership prior to being sold to LVMH in 2008. Jean-Claude was also responsible for integrating a luxury brand with the world of football when Hublot became the official watch and official timekeeper for FIFA and the World Cup in 2010. Jean-Claude has an entrepreneurial approach to business believing that continual learning, innovation and evolution are the routes to success. He has passed this on to his employees by encouraging risk-taking behaviour and celebrating failures as learning opportunities. In this exclusive event at Cambridge Judge Business School, he will share his views on what it takes to be a successful leader and transform companies – and brands – into global players.
