If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Annamaria Motrescu-Mayes. This lecture covers key visual records of the Indian National Movement. Film clips selected from newsreels, feature films and documentaries, alongside posters and newspaper illustrations are discussed in relation to rare photographic records selected from British and Indian archives. The seminar also pays a particular attention to the documentary merit of several amateur films and photographs held by the CSAS (Cambridge) and the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (Delhi).
