If you have a question about this talk, please contact Julie Jupp. Speakers from the I-Design Group, Engineering Design Centre This week’s seminar will be a little different, with a more informal feel, as befits the last meeting of the term. The inclusive design and healthcare teams will join forces to describe some of the atmosphere and outcomes of their week away earlier this term. During this week, the groups “retreated” from the hustle and bustle of the EDC to the calm seclusion of CenterParcs. Amongst other things, they earnestly discussed research; simulated what it might be like to open medicine packaging if you had arthritis and low vision; designed better packaging (complete with business cases and a prototype); took a series of interesting photos; and assessed the inclusivity of the centre’s swimming pool. Come along to see the results of the design exercise, hear about the discussions and see the photographs. This talk is part of the Engineering Design Centre series.
