If you have a question about this talk, please contact Nalin Patel. Winton Scholar, Paromita Mukherjee, will host a journal club related to her research on new materials. When magnetic interactions in a lattice are incompatible with the underlying crystal structure, it gives rise to geometrical frustration. In this presentation, she will discuss the basic concept of frustration and some of its practical applications. Discussion will take place over lunch and buffet food will be provided.
