CGHR , Amnesty International and STAR (Student Action for Refugees) are pleased to present Asylum Monologues performed by iceandfire’s Actors for Human Rights. Asylum Monologues (scripted by Sonja Linden) is a first-hand account of the UK’s asylum system in the words of people who have experienced it. No part of the testimonies used to develop Asylum Monologues has been fictionalised, and the script is regularly updated with new testimonies. Launched at Amnesty International in June 2006, the performance has been touring the UK ever since.

iceandfire explores human rights stories through performance. Actors for Human Rights, iceandfire’s outreach project, are a network of more than 500 professional actors dedicated to drawing attention to contemporary human rights concerns.
