We are delighted to welcome Barry Naisbitt, Chief Economist at Santander UK, to give our October Business Lecture to Cambridge Network members. About Barry Naisbitt Barry Naisbitt has been Chief Economist at Santander UK – and formerly Abbey – since 1998. Barry joined Abbey National in 1994 and has worked through a period of significant change in the UK and global economies and also in the banking industry. Prior to joining, he had worked as Principal Economist in HSBC ’s Business Economics Unit, as an Economic Adviser at both HM Treasury and the National Economic Development Office (NEDO) and as a lecturer in economics at Liverpool University. His main area of focus is analysing the performance of the UK economy, with a particular interest in the housing and savings markets and households’ and companies’ finances. More details to follow..
