Opening Seminar
One way to improve the performance of engineering designers is to ensure that the information they require to progress their designs has been captured and stored – and can be retrieved easily. A selection of results from empirical studies into information capture, storage and retrieval will be brought together – and some conclusions drawn. These studies, undertaken by four EDC researchers in collaboration with Rolls-Royce and BAE SYSTEMS , started in the early 1990s and have continued up to the present day.
