As an extra event this September, Cambridge Network is delighted to welcome US entrepreneur Jim McKelvey in Cambridge on Thursday 11th September. Jim is an American computer science engineer and businessperson widely known as the co-founder of Square, a mobile payments company. Jim has founded many companies, including Mira Digital Publishing (which developed one of the first PC document imaging systems), Square (mobile payments, including an iconic card reader design), venture funding company Cultivation Capital as well glass-blowing company, The Third Degree Glass Factory. We are looking forward to hearing him speak to our Cambridge audience. We are really grateful to Dr Hermann Hauser for arranging this speaker for us and giving Cambridge Network members the opportunity to Jim McKelvey whilst he is in Cambridge. This talk should appeal to software developers, start-ups and entrepreneurs, business angels and designers or indeed anyone working in IT or technology with an interest in how to start up, run and develop a business.
