If you have a question about this talk, please contact Michele Ide-Smith. Tickets are free but please reserve a place on Eventbrite: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/designing-accessibility-tickets-10923431277 For many projects, accessibility issues are encountered during an audit of an already designed and implemented product. Some issues can be fixed with code tweaks, but others require the digital equivalent of ripping out walls and starting over. In this workshop we will step through an accessibility audit and identify issues that can be resolved via code and which require renovation. Then we will use design thinking to brainstorm and prototype different design approaches to resolve accessibility issues and produce accessible and enjoyable user experiences. About Sarah Sarah Horton has over 20 years experience in interaction and user experience design. As Director of Accessible User Experience and Design for the Paciello Group (TPG), she works with companies and organizations to improve accessibility and accessible user experience in digital products and services. She is co-author of A Web for Everyone with Whitney Quesenbery and Web Style Guide with Patrick Lynch. About David David Sloan joined The Paciello Group in 2013, as a User Experience Engineer, after almost 14 years as a researcher, teacher and consultant in accessibility and inclusive design at the University of Dundee in Scotland.
