The surprisingly observation of sustained, room temperature quantum dynamics in molecular structures taken from photosynthetic organism has lead to renewed interdisciplinary interest in the possible roles of quantum mechanics in biological processes. This talk will discuss some of the new ideas in the emerging field of “Quantum Biology” and how these might be applied in man-made organic systems to create new and highly efficient (quantum) nanoscale devices.

This talk is part of the Darwin Society series.
