In the context of post Rio 20 +scenario, it provides a futuristic analysis of the state of sustainable development in the region, while identifying the key policy options to increase human security, economic efficiency, equitable distribution of resources and opportunities and environmental protection. Dr. Abid Suleri is Executive Director of the Islamabad based South Asian think-tank Sustainable Development Policy Institute. As an expert on the issues of food security, regional trade, globalization and rural livelihoods, he provides policy advice to the regional governments and international donor agencies.
