Many artists now use computers as an integral part of their practice. But common applications such as spreadsheets were designed for office tasks – they seem almost intentionally hostile to creative work. This talk will describe a series of projects that have created new digital tools for use by sculptors, choreographers and visual artists. It’s not clear whether this kind of programming is science, art, or perhaps craft – but feedback and discussion will be more than welcome!
