The Tay Bridge Disaster reconsidered: Act of God or Gross negligence?

The failure of the bridge is often seen as an inevitable result of the high winds on that night, but re-examination of the evidence suggests a different conclusion. Poor structural design and materials were the more likely root cause of the accident, with forensic metallurgy at the forefront.
