A look at the research BT is investing in protecting and understanding its networks as data volumes grow and cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated.

Group Engineering Services (GES) is a business unit within BT Security that operates as a medium-sized enterprise. In its direct customer-facing role, GES undertakes a sizeable amount of research, current areas of which include: visualisation of massive data sets, scalable multicore mesh architectures, real-time data processing and investigations into security vulnerabilities.

Although this talk is aimed at students (members of the GES team will be around afterwards to chat about recruitment possibilities) all are welcome to come along.

This talk is part of the Pembroke College Corporate Partnership Talks series.
