If you have a question about this talk, please contact Cambridge Product Management Network. Jeremy Parsons (@jdap) fell into pricing by accident, head-hunted to be the first full-time pricing manager for Cable & Wireless who were preparing for the onslaught at the end of the UK telecom duopoly. The recruiter assumed that a product manager with an Oxford maths degree working for a software distributor would either know all there was to know about pricing, or learn fast enough that they could keep their hiring fee. Lucky! He has used pricing strategy and overhauled pricing processes to great effect in four continents, primarily in IT and Telecoms fields, both as an executive and through a boutique consultancy. He presently helps with the New Business division of Red Gate Software, grits oysters in the Cambridge tech startup scene and is Curate of St Martin’s Church, Cambridge. He created beginspace for Future Business (spending three months in a disused bank helping all-comers), helped the University of Cambridge to get the doors open at ideaSpace and co-founded the successful Pitch & Mix startup networking group.
