Oliver Bannard is currently Associate Professor and Wellcome Senior Research Fellow at The Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford. Oliver completed his PhD investigating T cell memory formation with Professor Douglas Fearon in Cambridge, and was later a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Jason Cyster at The University of California San Francisco. The Bannard lab’s main focus is on understanding the biology of germinal centre responses. In this talk, Oliver will present some of the lab’s most recent findings related to how B cell clonal selection occurs and what controls GC B cell fate-decisions.
