Microglia can modify their molecular and functional phenotypes depending on their past and current microenvironment, including long-term reprogramming that is driven through epigenetic modifications (aka innate immune memory). In my talk, I will discuss our past and current work on how epigenetic analyses can enhance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that drive microglial responses in the diseased brain.
