Climate action focuses on the reduction of present and future emissions. But what of dealing with the effects of emissions that have already happened? Are adaptation and suffering the only possibilities? Or is there some more general way to alleviate or undo the effects of that which has already been done? This is the question which has long been posed by the possibility of large scale technological attempts to change the climate: geoengineering. Come and hear two experts exploring and debating the issues behind these controversial approaches to climate action. This talk is part of the Cambridge Climate Lecture Series series.
