Can new technology strengthen and allow a wider range of voices to be heard? Listening to citizens is the cornerstone of affecting lasting social change. Yet development, humanitarian and governance initiatives often fail because they fail to fully understand the citizens they serve.

This session explores a new paradigm for turning large-scale authentic citizen voice into evidence that drives impactful social change, pioneered by Africa’s Voices, a start-up that spun out of the Centre for Governance and Human Rights.
