Further detail
Date: Tuesday 24 September: 1 – 3 pm, Location: Maxwell Centre, West Cambridge Date: Tuesday 24 September, 3:30-5:30 Location: MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge Biomedical Campus Note this event is for researchers only, of any level. We’re excited to announce that ARIA (Advanced Research & Invention Agency) is coming to Cambridge on their UK road trip. This offers clinicians, researchers and academics a unique, direct opportunity to learn more about ARIA , their exceptional approach to funding and their work to date. You will have a chance to listen to ARIA present their approach to making a global impact through science and technology, and opportunities for funding. This will be followed by an hour of networking where attendees can engage with ARIA leaders. ARIA is now recruiting for its second cohort of Programme Directors — scientists and engineers with diverse fields of expertise and a range of experience across industry, academia and government. They are tasked with developing a concrete vision for how technology could enable a better future and directing funding into research that can make it a reality. Why attend? Learn about ARIA ’s approach to funding and their opportunities for those who think differently Network with fellow leading clinicians, researchers and innovators Further your ambition to become a leader in your field ARIA is an R&D funding agency, funding teams of scientists and engineers to pursue research at the edge of what is technologically or scientifically possible. ARIA was established by the UK Government in January 2023 with high levels of autonomy and flexibility. From climate change to AI and bioengineering, society faces enormous challenges and opportunities that can be uniquely addressed by science and technology. ARIA was created to activate the UK’s world-class R&D talent in new ways, so that these challenges can be met head-on. Whether your focus is on pioneering clinical trials, emerging technologies or health intervention, attendance is your chance to learn more about ARIA , the associated funding opportunities, current programmes and the Programme Director recruitment call. We invite interested parties to register for one of two events below. Each session will provide a platform to hear from ARIA leadership, ask questions and network.
