If you have a question about this talk, please contact Siyang Fu. Dr Del-Zanna will briefly present some observations of the solar corona, from the early days when it was only observed during eclipses in the visible, to recent space missions in the X-rays and UV. He will explain how future observatories will tackle the main science questions, and how the (still mostly unexplored) visible/infrared region of the solar spectrum is receiving a lot of attention.
