“When two coexisting host species share a common parasite, differences in resistence or tolerance to infection can bias competition. In some circumstances, a lower competitor can invade and replace a better one by spreading infection. I’ll investigate how stochasticity and spatial fragmentation can alter the outcome of competition in small populations”
