Michaelmas Term’s Research Masterclass, entitled “Public Engagement” will be hosted by Dr Ljiljana Fruk (Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology). Speakers will include Hugh Hunt (Department of Engineering), Diana Scarborough (Cambridge-based artist, working a lot with scientists), Liz Hide (Cambridge Museums), Helen Slaski (Cambridge Science Centre), representatives from Biomakerspace, and Lucy Stokes (Science Festival co-ordinator). “In these times of fake news and pressing global challenges, it is even more important to communicate what we do. Learn about different routes to public engagement from University insiders, Cambridge Science Centre and Makerspace representatives, active colleagues and cool guests. Join us, listen, discuss, ask and find your own engagement style.
