Histograms, Isosurface Statistics & Span Space

Note unusual day

We show that histograms represent spatial function distributions with a nearest neighbour interpolation, and that isosurface statistics give better representations of function distribution. We also show that these statistics are related to span space and can be used to optimize memory requirements for isosurface acceleration.
