If you have a question about this talk, please contact rh485. The Cambridge University German Society proudly presents Yasmin Fahimi as our second speaker of Lent Term! Yasmin Fahimi is a German politician and was the general secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) from January 2014 to December 2015. Since 2016, Fahimi has been serving as State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs under the leadership of minister Andrea Nahles. At a time when the German employment rate is hitting record highs, it will be extremely interesting to see if and how working conditions will change in our more and more digitalised world and what new challenges and opportunities will arise. In this context, the topic of Yasmin Fahimi’s talk proves to be very timely and relevant: ‘Work in Transition – The Future of Work in a Digitalised World’.
