Liv Boeree is a Poker player, television presenter, and co-founder of Raising for Effective Giving (REG), a non-profit which encourages professionals, especially poker players, to donate 2% of their income to highly effective charities. REG raised over £1,000,000 for these charities in its first two years. Liv is currently the world’s #2-ranked female poker player. Liv will be talking about her journey from a Physics degree to founding REG , along the way winning the 2010 European Poker Tour. She’ll discuss the reasons why she became interested in Effective Altruism, and the lessons she learned about founding an effective non-profit.
