There are other options. Increasing numbers of knowledge workers are earning a living remotely, allowing them to work from their laptops everywhere from Balinese beaches to the jungles of Thailand. From doctors, to web developers and consultants, hear the increasing number of options for travel loving souls who want to have a serious career while they explore the world. The talk will cover opportunities such as freelancing, working as a remote employee and some of the skills that you should learn if you want to live and work in this way. Refreshments will be provided, and there will be time to mingle and network after the talk. About the speaker Clare Harrison is the Founder of Start Me Up, a programme that connects young people with opportunities at startups overseas. She’s launched several startups from coworking hubs in Thailand and Bali. Previously she spent 8 years working in London as a financial journalist for The Times and The Telegraph, among others.
