Duncan will deliver a seminar based around the book he is currently writing, titled Reconstruction: The Great War and the Origins of Modern Politics, and raise for discussion a number of themes including debates about the world economy/war economy, socialism and dictatorship.

Dr Duncan Kelly’s research interests include modern political and economic ideas and their history, as well as conceptual issues in modern political thought – in combination, what historical and conceptual accounts of political and economic ideas can do to help us understand the practice of politics.
